| I have been looking forward to tomorrow for a while. tomorrow...is Ash wednesday and the beginning of lent. I have never really celebrated lent before, largely because of my non-denomination type upbringing. Oh sure...we talked about it at church but it didn't really mean anything to me. Over this past year I have learned about the church calendar. Whenever I think about it I am always amazed at the concept of time ordained by God. -every part of the year is a different season, a different focus. Tomorrow starts the season of lent. A time of reflection, sacrifice, and penitance. It is such an appropriate build up to the resurrection, Easter morning. This is why I love the church calendar: I think father Scarlet wrote this:
"We do not live merely through winter, spring, summer and fall-an endless cycle of time. We live through Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost and Trinity-an annual cycle that points backwards to God's saving acts and forward to their fulfillment at the Second Coming of Jesus. Our corporate observances and the prayers, lessons and themes of daily prayer cause us to experience time in terms of our redemption. Our personal life stories are transformed by our connection w ith God's story. Our minds are transformed and renewed by constantly remembering and experiencing again the drama of our redemption." Well, I suppose that's all. I hope everyone enjoyed a Paczi today! -kell

| snow, snow snow SNOW!!! (sung like White Christmas)
It's sooo cold today! temp is about 0 degrees...feels like -11. The snow is a little unimpressive this year. We've only had about 2 inches on the ground at a time. Apparently 5 more are coming tomorrow. Even though it's so cold outside that I can barely think......I kind of love it.
I have been feeling a little dualistic lately. I have these contrasting thoughts in my mind.... feeling disconnected from...everyone. But at the same time, I have been surrounded by people and have had deep connections with people. And...I have been quite content about life in general. Which is quite an accomplishment for me as of this past school year.
alright...well...i'm so tired at this moment that I can't continue typing. I just got off work and i'm EXHAUSTED!
see ya later, folks -kell

over the past three years.... I've just had a hard time finding my place.
luckily.....I feel like I have found it..... but.....I'm not there yet. And I hope to be soon.
trying to trust GOD with my life. it's a funny little path that he's taking me on.
anyways....this post wasn't the most enjoyable but... oh well....they're my thoughts.
